San Francisco baker Josey Baker — yes, that's his real name — is famous for his artisanal sourdoughs as well as controversially charging $4 for toast. (Read an Eater SF interview in which Baker addresses the toast issue.) His bakery in fact has a whole toast menu, with different combinations of bread and toppings.

And soon you will be able to make up your own toast combinations at home when he publishes his first cookbook, Josey Baker Bread: Get Baking - Make Awesome Bread - Share the Loaves. The book is aimed at beginners and will come out from Chronicle April 15 (pre-order on Amazon). Check it out:
