The Can Roca Team Traveled to Barcelona to Cook for Mark Zuckerberg

The world's #1 restaurant might be a tough table, but that's no matter for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg: The chefs of El Celler de Can Roca reportedly cooked dinner for 24 at a private party hosted by Zuckerberg at a residence in Barcelona, and then cooked for Zuckerberg again when he dined at the restaurant the next night. According to La Vanguardia (in Spanish), Zuckerberg was in Spain this week for the Mobile World Congress, and his private party was for other attendees. Apparently he made his dinner reservations months ago, just like everybody else.

Sommelier and one third of the fraternal masterminds of the restaurant Josep Roca is quoted as saying he felt a bit like he was like a butler in Remains of the Day while working at Zuckerberg's party, where the team had brought utensils, plates, glasses, and of course ingredients to prepare the meal. Still, he also said that the group paid attention to the food in spite of the "importance of the topics covered" in their dinner conversation. The following night Zuckerberg dined at the restaurant and took a tour of the kitchen. Fine Dining Lovers reports that Zuckerberg was served the sourdough ice cream dessert that used in Can Roca's culinary opera El Somni.
