Austin Food & Wine Festival; Eat Drink Rhode Island

AUSTIN— Its new "Feast Under the Stars" event is already sold out, but tickets are still available to the rest of the Austin Food & Wine Festival, which as previously reported, is set for April 25 to 27. Visiting chefs like Richard Blais, Rick Bayless, and John Currence will team with Texans Tim Love, Tyson Cole, and Aaron Franklin for a series of tasting events, seminars, and celebrations like the "Rock Your Taco" Showdown and the kick-off "Taste of Texas." PROVIDENCE— The 2014 installment of the Eat Drink RI Festival, scheduled for April 24 to 27, has unveiled its full event line-up, which will bring together chefs from across Rhode Island for a series of collaborative brunches, dinners, and events throughout Providence. Among the highlights: 15 local food trucks will gather for the "Truck Stop" on April 25, while eight Rhode Island chefs — including Benjamin Sukle (birch) and James Mark (North) — will join forces with culinary faculty from Johnson & Wales University for a six-course dinner Thursday, April 24. NEW YORK CITY— In tandem with his upcoming pop-up in Los Angeles, Cronut king Dominique Ansel will also bring his highly coveted treats to Barneys New York locations on the Upper West Side and in Brooklyn.
