Residents of Los Angeles might as well just get in line now, because NYC pastry chef Dominique Ansel is bringing his mania-inducing Cronuts to town. Eater LA reports that Ansel will be hosting a one day only pop-up at Barneys New York at The Grove on March 1. This is apparently the chef's first time preparing Cronuts outside of New York City.
Says Ansel in the press release: "We receive so many letters from fans in California that we wanted to reach out them personally." Helping Ansel do that is former Spago pastry chef Sherry Yard. Cronuts will be sold from 10 a.m. until the supply runs out (or till 2 p.m.) and will be sold for $5, with all net proceeds going to charity.
