Toronto's iconic Cookbook Store will permanently close next month after a 31-year-run. The bookstore made the official announcement on its website earlier today, citing "year-long road and utilities construction, extreme weather, online competition and the sale of the building for condominium development" as reasons for the closure. The shop had originally hoped to re-locate and open elsewhere. [EaterWire] [Photo: Facebook]
