A West Virginia location of Pizza Hut has been temporarily closed by the local health department after surveillance footage revealed an employee using its kitchen sink as a urinal. Local CBS affiliate WOWK has the video, which shows the Pizza Hut district manager urinating in a sink that's also used to "wash kitchen utensils and supplies." Unsurprisingly, once the network contacted the local health department, the restaurant was immediately shut down for creating a "substantial hazard to the public health."
A Pizza Hut representative says the employee has since been fired, but fortunately for local diners, the video is apparently a few weeks old, so those hazardous conditions may have been festering for a while now. Pizza Hut released an official statement to the network, saying: "First of all, we are embarrassed by the actions of this individual... we apologize to our customers of Kermit, West Virginia and those in our system who have been let down by this situation." No timeline has been set for its re-opening.
