New York City sandwich man Tyler Kord (No. 7 Sub) has signed a book deal with Clarkson Potter's Francis Lam to write a book about his crazy sandwich stylings "as well as humorous rants about sandwich philosophy, love, self-loathing, Li'l Wayne, Tom Cruise, and the life of a chef." This is the second book Lam will edit for Clarkson Potter, the first being Matt Rodbard and Deuki Hong's Koreatown, USA. Kord's book will be out in June of 2015.

Also in book deal news, Michael Moss, the Pulitzer prize-winning reporter and author of Salt, Sugar, Fat, will write Hooked: Food and Free Will. The book is a "journey into the world of food addiction" and will be published by Random House. It will explore "the new science that suggests why some people are more vulnerable than others, the complex legal questions that could determine who bears responsibility for our obesity crisis, and the ongoing (and largely unregulated) race to offer surgery, drugs, and diets as cures."
