TEDxManhattan Talks Food; Atlanta Food & Wine Tickets

NEW YORK CITY— An installment of TEDxManhattan will once again tackle the subject of "Changing the Way We Eat" during a day's worth of talks on Monday, March 1. Speakers like chef Tom Colicchio, Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, and farmer Myra Goodman will tackle subjects ranging from food distribution to using crickets as a protein source (sure, why not). The event will be livecast starting at 10:30a.m.; follow the conversation here. [EaterWire]

ATLANTA— The event itself isn't until May 29 through June 1, but tickets to the 2014 Atlanta Food & Wine Festival went on sale at noon today. The ticket crunch appears to have crashed the festival's official website, but those desperate to score tickets now have a telephone number to call, all old-fashioned-like. [EaterWire]

VARIOUS LOCATIONS Bon Appétit's recurring Grub Crawl series has announced its first three locales for 2014: Nashville, New York City, and Park City, Utah. The self-described "movable feast" leads diners through a multi-stop progressive meal through a walkable neighborhood; specific dates for the three cities have not been set yet. [EaterWire]
