Here's Your Last Chance to Snag Tickets to Noma's Japan Pop-Up

MAD is hosting an online auction starting today and proceeds will fund a MAD quarterly journal.

Eager diners have one more chance to score a seat at the upcoming sold out pop-up of the Copenhagen restaurant Noma in Japan. According to its website, MAD is hosting a fundraising dinner in conjunction with the restaurant, which is setting up shop at the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo for two months next year. The organization is auctioning off tickets online to the dinner — which will take place on January 28 — as well as trips to the Tsujiki Fish Market and a kitchen tour with the restaurant's chef René Redzepi.

MAD notes that it will use the funds raised to support "new publishing ambitions," — including a possible quarterly journal — as well as to create more pop-up events, and hire additional team members. The online auction will begin at 2 p.m. EST today and will end on December 18. So mark it down in your calendar if you want a chance to eat farm-raised turtles and horse meat in Tokyo.
