NEW YORK CITY— As promised, Danny Meyer's NYC icon Union Square Cafe is officially on the move: Eater NY reports its current space is now on the market, and available for the new tenant's possession as soon as March 2015. Back in June, Meyer announced that the nearly 30-year-old restaurant would be forced to move due to a rent hike. No official word yet on its closing date. [ENY]

LOS ANGELES— The Museum of the American Cocktail will team with Los Angeles's Craft in America Center for an ongoing series of exhibits and events designed to unveil "The History of Drinking." The center's Crafting the Cocktail exhibit opens December 6 (and will run through February 21, 2015), showing off how cocktail glassware has evolved with each drink; an opening reception will offer a "complimentary exhibition cocktail." The following Monday and Tuesday, MoAC and the center will offer educational events like "A History of Drinking" (featuring bites and sips) and the seminar "Cocktails: The History of Choice."
