Of Course Modernist Cuisine Built the Most Epic Gingerbread House Ever

It's a tribute to Gaudí.

Gaudí's architecture can be seen throughout the Spanish city of Barcelona, but Casa Batlló, located in the center of the city, is one of his best-known structures. The colors and shapes that adorn it look like candy, which is perhaps why the team behind Modernist Cuisine decided to recreate it in gingerbread. Rivaling only Martha Stewart's gingerbread Downton Abbey, watch as chefs in Nathan Myhrvold's culinary laboratory painstakingly pipe each ornament and paint each eave. Though it's possible to recreate Modernist Cuisine's gingerbread house, it's probably best not to try this at home.
