NYC's Iconic Papaya King Now Shipping Hot Dogs Nationwide

Sadly, its tropical drinks will remain for New Yorkers only.

Delivery service Goldbely, which ships food from "legendary local restaurants" nationwide, announced today that it's added iconic New York City hot dog purveyor Papaya King to its menu of deliverable goods. Eater NY reports the beloved old-timer restaurant will ship its all-beef hot dogs in a variety of packages: The "Classic New York Hot Dog Kit" includes a Papaya Dog t-shirt, six hot dogs, six buns, and a pound each of sauerkraut, onions, ketchup, and mustard. Unfortunately, the tropical fruit smoothies that give Papaya King its name will not be available for home delivery.

Two weeks ago, Goldbely created a stir by announcing Pittsburgh's cultishly beloved Primanti Bros. sandwiches could be sent nationwide in similar build-your-own packages. The site launched back in 2013 with NYC's Katz's Delicatessen, Austin's Franklin Barbecue, and Portland's Stumptown Coffee Roasters among its opening partners.
