Michelin Announces 2015 Stars for Spain and Portugal

There are 21 new one-star restaurants this year.

The Michelin stars keep rolling in: The 2015 Michelin Guide to Spain and Portugal was announced today. According to a press release, all eight three-star restaurants — including the likes of DiverXO, Arzak, and El Celler de Can Roca — have retained their stars. While there are no new three-star restaurants, there are two new two-star establishments: Aponiente in El Puerto de Santa María, Spain and Belcanto in Lisbon, Portugal.

This year's guide also features 21 new one-star restaurants. The majority of the new comers are located in Madrid, Spain. Two are located in Portugal, however: São Garbriel in Almancil-Faro and Pedro Lemos in Porto.

Overall, the 2015 Michelin Guide to Spain and Portugal features eight three-star restaurants, 21 two-star restaurants, 154 one-star restaurants, and 229 Bib Gourmands, a small increase from last year. See the full list of winners below:
