Today, the powers behind the Michelin Guide released their stars upon the Netherlands. Three new restaurants — De Lindehof, in Nuenen; Librije's Zusje, in Amsterdam; and ‘t Nonnetje, in Harderwijk — made the cut, bringing the total of Michelin-starred restaurants in the Western European country to 1,217.

Five new restaurants earned their first Michelin star in this year's guide: FG Food Labs; Ratatouille Food & Wine, in Haarlem; Wiesen, in Eindhoven; and Sinne and Sazanka in Amsterdam. Last year's three star award winners, De Leest, in Vaassen, and De Librije, in Zwolle, kept their three-star ratings.

22 new restaurants earned the Bib Gourmand distinction, bringing the total for 2015 to 115.
