After screening his 12-minute short documentary at food film festivals since 2013, writer/director George Motz has now made Head On: Shrimping in the Lowcountry available to view online. The film follows two generations of fishermen in South Carolina, many of whom have been shrimping since they could walk. "Shrimping is one of the dinosaurs of the seafood industry," says one fisherman of the method, which has evolved from fishing by hand to mechanically dragging nets behind the fishing boats.
