Starbucks Can't Even Get Famous NBA Players' Names Right

Mistaken identity or a humorous hoax?

NBA stars: they're just like us, meaning sometimes they too get their caramel macchiatos mislabelled. In Dallas Mavericks' player Chandler Parsons' case, it's not an instance of baristas who can't spell, but rather one of mistaken identity: If you believe a photo posted to Parsons' Instagram, a Starbucks employee somehow mistook him for much more well-known Mavericks veteran Dirk Nowitzki. (Parsons just joined the team this summer, while Nowitzki has been playing for Dallas since 1998.)

Do Starbucks baristas think all tall white dudes look the same, or is this just a humorous attempt at a hoax? As SB Nation points out, "Parsons [could have] told the barista his name was 'Dirk' in order to get a funny Instagram photo and joke." Perhaps the more pressing question: Is Parsons drinking a pumpkin spice latte?

Finally hit some shots and this happens... #congratson9
