José Andrés Beer Launches Soon; Mastro's Steakhouse Expands to NYC

The Lucky Rice Festival heads to Miami.

WASHINGTON, DC— As first promised earlier this summer, chef José Andrés has teamed with Oregon brewery Deschutes to collaborate on a saison-style beer dubbed "Zarabanda." Eater DC now reports the beer will start pouring in the nation's capital next month, with a series of preview events slated for November 18 through 20. NEW YORK CITY— California's Mastro's Steakhouse chainlet has opened its first East Coast location, in Midtown Manhattan. Eater NY reports the brand has "a reputation for a celebrity clientele at its Beverly Hills and Malibu locations," with a menu offering wet-aged steaks, seafood, and sushi. MIAMI— The recurring Lucky Rice food festival heads to Miami next, in an event scheduled for Saturday, November 15. Chef Masaharu Morimoto will serve as host, with restaurants like the Bazaar by José Andrés, Restaurant Michael Schwartz, Michael Mina 74, and La Mar by Gastón Acurio also participating.
