Circo Expands to Abu Dhabi; Dominique Ansel's Cookie Contest

ABU DHABI— The Maccioni family, which owns and operates NYC's legendary Le Cirque, has expanded to Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The Maccioni crew will swing the doors open at its Abu Dhabi location of Circo on November 20, although a Facebook update posted today reveals the restaurant is already celebrating its first soft-opening services. NEW YORK CITY— Cronut king Dominique Ansel wants to eat your pastries for a change: The pastry chef will judge fans' cookie recipes during a "Cookie Contest" at this Saturday's Columbus Circle signing for his new book, Dominique Ansel: The Secret Recipes. According to his Instagram announcement, Ansel will personally taste the cookies and select three winners, who will each receive a coveted Cronut and Cookie Shot for their efforts.
