The recipe for the original Cronut — the pastry that almost instantly launched a million fans, still inspires lines of epic proportions, and created waves of copycats across the globe — is now online. Pastry chef Dominique Ansel today released his most famous recipe to Good Morning America.

Ansel is currently promoting his first book — one of this Fall's most highly anticipated new cookbooks — The Secret Recipes, set to be released on October 28. This major recipe release is sure to convince Cronut fans to put the book on their holiday wishlists.

The recipe, which will take a home cook three days to prepare, can be found here.

It's been a busy season for Ansel, who has just released his Fall menu. Last month, he announced that he would be expanding his pastry empire to Tokyo. Stay tuned for a book tour and more from America's reigning pastry king.
