Acclaimed Italian chef Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana, Modena) stopped by Google earlier this month to promote his new cookbook Never Trust a Skinny Italian Chef. Bottura dives deep into his life story, sharing stories from his childhood in Modena, the "land of slow food and fast cars." He explains that being a chef was never really his aim ("the food world chose me") and how his dad deeply wanted him to be a lawyer. Best of all, he reveals how tortellini became the "most important and the most iconic dish" of his life.
