MEXICO— For its final 2014 session, roving chef party/research-and-development gathering Cook It Raw heads to Merida, in Mexico's Yucatan peninsula, for six days of traveling, discussing, and documenting. The Mexico session is currently underway and will run through November 2, with chefs like Albert Adria, Amanda Cohen, and Jeremiah Langhorne participating. VARIOUS LOCATIONS— Cultishly beloved burger emporium Shake Shack has rolled out a duo of Halloween-themed specials: Starting today, all U.S. locations (not counting those in airports) will offer a "Halloweenie" (basically a bacon-wrapped hot dog with pumpkin mustard) and a "Shack O'Lantern" shake (vanilla custard with pumpkin and marshmallow).
