VARIOUS LOCATIONS— Cultishly beloved burger emporium Shake Shack has rolled out a duo of Halloween-themed specials: Starting today, all U.S. locations (not counting those in airports) will offer a "Halloweenie" (basically a bacon-wrapped hot dog with pumpkin mustard) and a "Shack O'Lantern" shake (vanilla custard with pumpkin and marshmallow). The special items are available through October 31. [EaterWire]
NEW YORK CITY— NYC empire builder Gabe Stulman (of Joseph Leonard, Perla, and many more West Village restaurants) tells Eater NY he'll soon add another project to his resume: Builder of one of those ever-popular "lifestyle brands." The as-yet-unnamed brand could sell everything from soaps to candles to clothing. [ENY]
