It was a horrific nightmare come true: A chef in Darlinghurst, Australia is in serious condition after his arm was caught between a pasta machine's industrial-strength rollers. Good Food reports the chef, a 25-year-old male, received a compound fracture to his right arm and wrist.
It took paramedics and police an hour to disassemble the machine and free the man's arm, which had been smashed between stainless steel rollers for an hour and fifteen minutes.
Restaurant safety inspectors have told the restaurant to cease pasta production until further notice.
