Yelp Expands Food Delivery, Adds Winery Reservations

Yelp is moving beyond snarky reviews by partnering with booking services like CellarPass.

In an effort to expand its services, today consumer review and business listing site Yelp announced a set of improvements to its reservations module. In addition to making dinner reservations through Yelp, users can also now book hotel rooms, make reservations at wineries, and order food to be delivered.

The improvements come out of partnerships with EatStreet, ChowNow, and Ordr.in (for delivery); Hipmunk (for hotels); and CellarPass for winery tours. Yelp is already partnered with delivery.com, Eat24, and Booker (spa reservations). Reservations may be made both on Yelp.com as well as on Yelp's mobile apps.

According to Yelp, 28,000 businesses are integrated into online ordering and booking modules, and 250,000 transactions were made on Yelp in the third quarter of 2014.

That's a lot of reservations and food delivery, Yelpers.
