It's the butt of many a bad restaurant joke: If you send your food back for any reason, will the chef spit in itUnfortunately for a diner at Kennedy's Pub in Mount Olive, New Jersey, the chef did indeed take offense when a diner asked for a dish to be cooked further.

Chef John Stagg responded to the request by spitting on the food. He was "charged with tampering with food or drug product and disorderly conduct," according to police.

Stagg is due in court later this year. As for Kennedy's Pub, they still have a conditionally satisfactory grade from the Department of Health, and are looking for a new chef —preferably one without anger management issues.
