Chipotle Will Open More Than 200 New Locations in 2015

The brand announced its third-quarter 2014 results today.

Chipotle Mexican Grill just unleashed its third-quarter financial numbers for 2014, and as Wall Street-types excitedly report that profits were higher than expected, there's some good news for the non-stock-holding Chipotle fans in all of us. According to the announcement, Steve Ells's growing fast-casual brand plans as many as 205 new locations in 2015, including spots in "remote" areas, according to one reporter on the conference call. According to Chipotle's numbers, the Denver-based chain made $1.08 billion in the third quarter of 2014, representing a 19.8 percent increase in restaurant sales. By the end of the year, Ells and company plan to have opened as many as 195 new stores, with a couple hundred more coming in 2015. Brace for more sofritas.
