Here are your Thursday afternoon book deals. British cookbook author Nigella Lawson reveals on Twitter that she has landed a deal with Flatiron Books to publish Simply Nigella. According to Lawson’s website, the book "is about cooking food that makes our lives easier." Simply Nigella will feature 150 recipes for everything from breakfast to brunch, stir-fries, pasta, one-pot dishes, and "sweet treats." There is no confirmed release date yet.
Next up, Florida-based chef Fabrizio Aielli — who owns Sea Salt and Barbatella in Naples — is releasing his debut cookbook in December. Titled Sea Salt, the book features over 75 recipes from his restaurant of the same name. Readers can expect recipes for dishes like lobster reuben and pan-seared black grouper with black truffle butter. There will also be recipes for a number of cocktails and a forward from former Saveur editor Colman Andrews.
Finally, writer Dan Charnas has landed a deal with Rodale to publish Work Clean: What Great Chefs Can Teach Us About Organizing Our Lives And Focusing Our Minds. Publishers Marketplace writes that the book will focus on the principles of "mis-en-place" and "demonstrating how they can be used outside of the kitchen" in the office and the home. Featured chefs have not yet been announced. Work Clean will be released in Spring 2016.
