Arizona-based restaurateur and empire builder Sam Fox has announced ambitious expansion plans. According to the Arizona Republic, the creator of the national mini-chain True Food Kitchen will open three restaurants in Arizona in the next three months. First up is Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar which will open in Gilbert on October 28. In early December, the second location of his Phoenix juice bar Juby True will up and running and shortly after, Fox's gastropub concept Culinary Dropout will set up shop in Tempe.

Fox also has plans to expand nationally: His restaurant group Fox Restaurant Concepts is scheduled to open 18 more eateries across the country over the next three years. This includes a location of Culinary Dropout in Austin in 2016, a Houston branch and two California branches of his pasta and pizza shop North Italia, and most impressively, eight new locations of True Food Kitchen. By 2017 there should be outlets of the "good-for-you restaurant" in Chicago, San Diego, across California, and more. According to the restaurant group's website, the company currently operates 46 individual restaurants split across 15 concepts.
