Madrid Chefs Storm NYC; Rick Bayless Joining Empellon's Push Project

NEW YORK CITY— Chef David Muñoz (of the three-Michelin-starred DiverXO) will lead a Spanish expedition of sorts to NYC: Madrid's official tourism board is sending Muñoz, along with chef Óscar Velasco (holder of two Michelin stars at Santceloni Restaurant) and the team behind the critically acclaimed TriCiclo, to New York for a series of pop-ups and collaborative dinners. The chefs will serve dinners at Atera, City Grit, and Betony from November 3 to 8, with each designing a unique menu for every nightly dinner. More information available here. [EaterWire]

WASHINGTON, DC— OpenTable's mobile payment service, OpenTable Pay, is now available in Washington, DC: Eater DC reports about 20 local restaurants have signed onto the launch.
