Tasting Table Names CNN's Kat Kinsman Editor in Chief

Kat Kinsman, who has served as the managing editor of CNN's Eatocracy — the broadcaster's food news section — for nearly five years, will soon be the Editor in Chief at Tasting Table.

According to a release, Kinsman "will oversee all editorial content for the multiplatform media company." Tasting Table, which is based on a direct e-newsletter approach, has plans to expand more broadly across web, social media, and mobile platforms.

While at CNN, Kinsman was nominated for a James Beard Broadcast Award. Says Kinsman in the release: "I've been a subscriber to and reader of Tasting Table for as long as it's been around. It's always been a delicious interlude in my day, and I couldn't be more excited about having that be my all-day every day."
