A McDonald's employee in Pittsburgh has been arrested for allegedly selling heroin via Happy Meal boxes ordered at the drive-thu window. CBC Pittsburgh reports that undercover police agents busted Shania Dennis by using a password given to them by a confidential informant at the drive-thru. Saying they wanted to order a boy's Happy Meal toy, the cops were able to pay Dennis $2 for the toy (which she apparently put into the till) and $80 for a Happy Meal box with 10 stamp-bags of heroin. 50 additional bags were found on Dennis' person at the time of her arrest. WTAE reports that Dennis faces charges of possession, delivery, and possession with intent to deliver.
This tactic of selling drugs from McDonald's is not a new one in the area. Earlier this month, an employee of a Murrysville, PA McDonald's was arrested for allegedly selling heroin in the parking lot and inside the restaurant. Police are investigating a possible connection between the two incidents. In the CBS Pittsburgh video below, the police explain just how the drive-thru bust went down. Go, watch:
