The Restaurant from Portlandia's Chicken Sketch Closed

A Portland, OR restaurant that gained notoriety for appearing in Portlandia's premiere episode has closed after eight and a half years in business. Gilt Club owner Jamie Dunn confirms the closure, telling Eater PDX that after 20 years in the industry he's looking forward to spending time with family. Gilt Club went through chef shuffles last year, though during the course of its eight-year run had received plenty of positive reviews and a spot on the inaugural Eater Portland 38. There's no word yet on whether a new restaurant will move into the space. In honor of the Gilt Club, watch their turn on Portlandia as a restaurant with carefully sourced chickens below:
