Jean-Georges' Inn at Pound Ridge Opens in Upstate NY

New, 5 comments

This week three Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten threw open the doors to his first restaurant in upstate New York: The Inn at Pound Ridge. Eater NY reports that Vongerichten's much awaited new restaurant is located in a former inn that dates back to 1883.

The two-story restaurant serves a menu overseen by a husband-and-wife duo of JG alums, chef Blake Farrar (The Mark) and pastry chef Melody Farrar (ABC Kitchen). Grub Street has a copy of the menu, which includes market-driven dishes like baby beets with yogurt, balsamic vinegar, and herbs and grilled beef tenderloin, spinach, tempura onions, housemade hot-sauce butter. Vongerichten has further expansion plans on the horizon, including a hotly anticipated, vegetarian-only concept in New York City.
