Black’s Barbecue in Lockhart, TX, Tuesday at 2 P.M.

New, 2 comments

Welcome to the photo series Eater Scenes, in which Eater photographers visit some of the country's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Here now, Daniel Krieger at Black's Barbecue in Lockhart, Texas.

Among the many, many smoked meat purveyors in Texas, Black's Barbecue in Lockhart stands out as much for its rich history as its exceptional barbecue. Owned and operated by the Black family since 1932, Black's has made a name for itself by staying true to family recipes. Legend has it that the brisket recipe has not changed an iota since the restaurant opened. Below, scenes from the timeless restaurant at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday.
