Ramen Burger's LA Debut Draws Four-Hour-Long Lines

As promised, Keizo Shimamoto's mania-inducing ramen burgers hit Los Angeles on Saturday, and Eater LA reports that fans of stunt food starting queueing up as early at 7a.m. at Torrance's Mitsuwa Marketplace to get one of the 500 ramen-bunned burgers. In total, more than 800 people waited in a line that wrapped around the entire building, rivaling the lines at Brooklyn's Smorgasburg, where the novelty sandwich debuted in August.

Shimamoto's creation technically isn't the only "ramen burger" available in California — a San Diego chef debuted his take on the craze last week — but LA resident Jeffrey Shimamoto, Keizo's brother, hinted to media that "a longer-term presence in LA was in store for the future."

Head to Eater LA for photos of that ridiculous, ridiculous line. >>>
