What is world-famous chef Ferran Adrià up to now? Working with ham, apparently. The acclaimed Spanish ham purveyors at Joselito have partnered with Adrià for a mysterious collaboration from the "Joselito Lab." A trailer for the project explains: "When the best ham in the world is in the hands of a legendary chef, nothing less than something amazing is bound to happen." The video features dramatic music and shots of Ferran Adrià, Ibérico ham close-ups, and artfully plated dishes featuring the ham. The trailer ends with the promise: "Coming Soon."
Is Adrià coming out with his own line of hams? If so, it wouldn't be the chef's first foray into retail. Adrià launched a line of molecular gastronomy kits, had his face on a Pepsi can, and is working on opening a market in his Spanish hometown. Eater reached out to Joselito and they're keeping details under wraps until they present the Adrià ham project in Barcelona and Madrid on September 18. So for now, here's the trailer:
