Here are several fascinating videos from Foursquare that visualize the check-ins of its users in various cities. The check-ins illuminate the city, which Foursquare says is meant to depict how the check-ins tell the story of "the way people move through the world." The videos depict a single day in the city, using data compiled over the course of an entire year. This isn't the first time Foursquare has released this kind of visualized data. Earlier this year, they released visualizations of New York and Tokyo in a side-by-side video. Below are the videos for San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, London, Istanbul, and Tokyo.
