Here's a Preview of the Paula Deen-Inspired Law & Order SVU Episode

Here's a promo for the upcoming Law & Order: SVU episode inspired by Trayvon Martin's death and the recent Paula Deen scandal. The episode is titled "American Tragedy," and stars Cybill Shepherd as a Southern celebrity chef. According to a press release:

A string of rapes on the Upper West Side raises concerns across the city, and while Detectives Tutuola (Ice-T) and Rollins (Kelli Giddish) question everyone who fits the suspect's description, celebrity chef Jolene Castille (Shepherd) fears she's the next victim when someone follows her home. The SVU arrests her for shooting and killing the unarmed teen, and her attorney (Jeffrey Tambor) faces off against ADA Barba (Ral Esparza) in a trial that tests the limits of the jury's moral and legal responsibilities. In the promo clip below, Shepherd says: "If we were down home I'd be gettin' a medal." Scary. The episode is set to air on October 2 on NBC. Above, stills from the episode, and below, the clip:
