Here now, an exclusive first look at some scenes from the French film Haute Cuisine, based on the true story of the first female private chef for the French president. In 1988, chef Danièle Delpeuch (cinematically renamed Hortense Laborie) was cooking in her rural French restaurant when she was recruited to serve as the personal chef of President Francois Mitterand. The film, directed by Christian Vincent, features its share of gorgeous food shots and actress Catherine Frot sassing the kitchen staff. The film opens in select cities this Friday, September 20, but first, watch the exclusive clips below:
