Culinary Twerking Wire

ult200.jpgHere's a must-read from blogger/photographer/global traveler Bonjwing Lee on chefs today. Quote: "What I see nowadays is a lot of culinary twerking... There's a lot of strutting and stripping, but very little substance... part of the problem is that diners are uninformed, misinformed, or misguided ... And, sadly, these days, the media are applauding twerking more than cooking. There's a lot of grandstanding, idyllic philosophies, and innovative techniques administered through feel-good videos and a circuit of conferences, where the media hang on chefs like groupies.... We are arriving at a destination where food is the byproduct of chefs, and not the other way around. And this troubles me." [Ulterior Epicure]
