Watch Eater LA Editor Kat Odell on The Chew

Eater LA editor Kat Odell went on The Chew today to promote Eat, Drink, Love, get danced at by hosts Carla Hall and Clinton Kelly in some sort of insane hazing ritual called "C+C Food Factory," and make a pupu platter. (She also schooled everyone on proper soup dumpling technique.) After whipping up some shrimp toast and ribs with Hall and Kelly, it was on to trend analysis. Per Odell: Cupcakes are out, "really tiny cookies the size of sugar cubes" are in, doughnuts are in, Cronuts are in, small plates are out, family style and sharing plates for two are in, ramen is in, and "weird combinations of things" like the ramen burger are "super in."
