lucky-peach-cover-issue-8-gender-issue.jpgSlate's L.V. Anderson put her restaurant world trolling boots on again, and this time the target is Lucky Peach's gender issue. Although she likes it, she writes of the magazine's binary gender split and dual cover concept: "The magazine's covers reduce men and women to their sex organs, and the magazine's structure is dichotomous and heterosexist...perhaps it would have been even better to dispense with the divisions entirely and let the melons and butternut squash mingle on the same page."
