Behold a Rendering of the Massive Eataly Chicago

New, 2 comments

Curbed Chicago got their hands on this rendering of the forthcoming Eataly Chicago, slated to open the Fall. The building is currently under construction in the 60,000 square foot former ESPN Zone space. Back in October, co-owner Joe Bastianich told Eater Chicago this Eataly will have a $20 million build out and the final space will have "a friggitoria for fried fish, vegetables and more, and a piadineria for flatbread topped with ingredients like prosciutto and cheese" and "we'd love to have something on the roof," although it's unclear if that will be a Birreria like in New York. Eataly Chicago will be the second Eataly in the US. According to Mario Batali, it will open mid-November.
