Oops, Britney Spears is getting back into the restaurant game. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the pop princess (and soon-to-be Vegas performer) has purchased an ownership stake of Town Square restaurant Meatball Shop, which will soon move into a space adjacent to the Planet Hollywood theater housing Spears' residency. According to Eater Vegas, the Spears announcement comes right after news that onetime Meatball Shop chef and Top Cheftestapant Carla Pellegrino has left the project.
This is Spears' second foray into restaurant ownership: In 2002, the then 21-year-old Spears opened a New York City restaurant, Nyla, with partner Bobby Ochs. It shuttered after five months.
