The B&B Hospitality Group — aka the empire-builders Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich, and Lidia Bastianich — have quietly opened their newest project Orsone, a "tavern and dining room" inside the Bastianich's eponymous Friuli, Italy winery.
According to a Facebook announcement, the spot — described by Lidia as the "newest B&B restaurant" serves "aperitifs, wines by the glass, cocktails, snacks, and informal" dishes like a burgers, lobster rolls, and Ceasar salad. It's also heavy on the bear theme, with Joe Bastianich Tweeting several examples of unofficial mascots (a Facebook photo posted last night shows Bastianich working the bar). Orsone is open for dinner only, Tuesdays through Saturdays.
