Surprise: Having a 30-foot-high wall of flames encased in cool-touch glass surrounding your restaurant is incredibly expensive. The Las Vegas Sun's Robin Leach reports that the flame wall at Gordon Ramsay BurGR in the Planet Hollywood Resort is expected to cost a whopping $500,000 per year in gas alone. The flame wall went up in shouty chef Gordon Ramsay's burger restaurant in June, which means it may have already racked up more than $80,000 in gas bills already. According to gossipmonger Leach, the cost of the flame wall has been a continued source of conflict between Ramsay's team and the resort executives.
