Wahlburgers Burger Chain Expanding to Canada

Celebrity restaurateurs Mark and Donnie Wahlberg are bringing their Wahlburgers chain to Toronto. According to a press release, the famous Wahlbergs — along with chef/co-owner/brother Paul Wahlberg — will open their first Canadian location at Toronto's SoHo Metropolitan Hotel. Like the flagship location just south of Boston, the Canadian Wahlburger will feature "a sports bar, seated dining, and quick service restaurant all under one roof, offering a family-friendly dining experience."

Wahlburgers currently has one location, in Hingham, MA, which opened in 2011. Plans to expand the burger chain to the United Kingdom and bring another Wahlburg concept to Massachusetts seem to have fizzled, but the chain does have its own reality show, filming now. The Toronto outpost is scheduled to open in early 2014.
