Rumor has it that lease disputes over a wood-burning oven are behind chef Mario Batali and business partner Joe Bastianich's decision to call off plans to open in Boston. Apparently this is bad news for chef Todd English, who was hoping to sell the liquor license from his shuttered restaurant Kingfish Hall to Batali and use the proceeds to help pay off the $1 million in back rent he owes.
