A 37-year-old Portugese restaurant in Central New Jersey has re-opened for business, 10 months after being shut down by Hurricane Sandy. South River's Portuguese Fisherman partially re-opened in December, but repairs continued in the ground-floor dining room (which was inundated with seven feet of water) for an additional eight months. Says second-generation owner Mark Silva: "It was traumatizing, to say the least. It's been a long road, but we're happy to be open again." [MCJ] [Photo: Facebook]
