Finland's only two Michelin star restaurant, Chez Dominique, will close in October. The restaurant has been shuttered all Summer and will reopen for a month or so in September before closing for an "undetermined hiatus." Chef/owner Hans Välimäki told Kauppalehti, "Now is the time to do something else. Of cooking, however, I take a break. I love cooking and I'm going to aim for new challenges, which I will tell later" (choppy translation courtesy Google Translate). It's unclear what Välimäki's next move will be. Chez Dominique has held on to its two Michelin stars since it first received them ten years ago.
