Rumormongering Eataly LA; Revamp at Jaleo Bethesda

LOS ANGELES— Eater LA passes along the rumor that Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich's upcoming LA outpost of Eataly could be heading to the Westfield Century City Mall. [Eater LA]

WASHINGTON, DC— José Andrés will revamp his 12-year-old spot Jaleo Bethesda, temporarily shuttering the restaurant to install a redesign "inspired by avant-garde Spanish design." Eater DC reports that the new look will feature "tapas displays featuring Spanish cured hams and cheeses, as well as art pieces from Spanish artists, and foosball tables designed by Andrés himself." HOUSTON— Underbelly chef Chris Shepherd has teamed with Reliant Stadium (home of the Houston Texans) to offer some "signature menu items" on game days: Shepard's braised goat and dumplings and pork belly steamed buns will be available from two stations. [EaterWire]
